HUMBLE DESIGN SINCE 1994
I started with wood and furniture design by graduating as an artisan of wood/cabinet maker, in 1994. I continued my studies at the University of Lapland/Department of Design. During my studies, I spent few years abroad, in Japan and Italy, learning from the masters and getting influences from these cultures. In 2002, I joined Nokia as a Visual & User Experience Designer, spending 10 years designing mobile applications and conducting user research around the world. After Nokia, I started my own company, and at the same time, worked at Nortal as a UX Lead for few years. I still carry my humble heart with gratitude within every step, being in constant, FUNdaMENTAL Flow (also the name of my company <3 )
My journey as a designer has been very interesting. Now I live in two countries, Finland and Japan, getting influences from both eastern and western cultures. I find my life very inspiring, and my designer´s heart is constantly full of gratitude towards life and its gifts. I try to learn something new everyday, about life and myself both as a designer, and as a human being. |
